I was left a message from this number on August 10, saying it was from Canada Revenue, and it was the last time they would call before legal action would be taken. I finally got back to them on August 11, and the person said I owed them $600 from an audit done on my income tax from 2010 to 2014. They said I had been sent a notice in April of this year, but I had not received anything. I told them this sounded like a scam, the recorded front end menu sounded like an old woman, not very professional for a Canada Revenue office. I asked the person on the phone if he could find my Social Insurance Number to prove this was not a scam, when he disconnected the call.

I have received the same message. Thank you for the info. I am not going to call them back.

I fell for it to the extent of giving them an updated street address but nothing else. Dummy-me; and I have relatives working in the fraud division of CRA.

The message said that I have a pending case with CRA with a certain case # and if I ignored their call legal action will be taken against us. Very strange the caller ID said Long distance. I called their number and line was busy.

I received two calls within 2 minutes saying they will take legal action if we ignor.....

They left message on my home machine saying they're with Revenue agency and give me a case number and saying if you don't call back, they will take a legal action. IT'S A SCAM. Don't give any information to them.

They left two messages on my voice mail today telling me there is a pending case with CRA and they are taking legal action. I should call them right away. They think Canadians don't know how CRA works!! I will not return the call.
